City Of Dallas: Seeking Equity Officer
The Equity Officer is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the City's diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. As a member of the Office of Equity and Human Rights, the Equity Officer manages an organization-wide effort to support the development and implementation of programs that foster equity and inclusion and maximizes the impact of services delivered to the community. This position will collaborate with City leadership and community stakeholders to establish equity as a shared value across the organization and the community. This position will further advance the City's commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and further manage the process of addressing complaints filed under the Non-Discrimination ordinance to better serve Dallas residents.
The Equity Officer will report to the Director of the Office of Equity and Human Rights and the Assistant City Manager/Chief Resilience Officer.
Salary Range: $74,207 - $140,808
Anticipated salary not to exceed $105,000
Act as official representative on diversity, equity, and inclusion to City departments, the City Manager's Office, elected officials, and in the community
Provide strategic, operation, and organizational leadership that grows capacity for intercultural competence, nurturance of diverse populations, and inclusive leadership.
In collaboration with City Departments, develop outcomes, metrics, and goals that ensure accountability towards equitable delivery of City services
Collect, analyze, and present data measuring the City's progress in incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the organization
Coordinate workforce diversity issues and recommend diversity training for City workforce in collaboration with the Human Resources Departments
Advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion, and develop strategies and shared organizational responsibility for equity
Facilitate discrimination complaints in collaboration with relevant City departments
